SD17E is a 1420 kg zero‑tail mini excavator developed for confined‑space working scenarios.
Compact and agile, it is equipped with retractable tracks to easily pass through narrow gateways, greenhouses, indoor doorways and other tight spaces. It is widely applied in landscaping renovation, municipal pipeline trenching, courtyard construction, farm operations and small‑scale earth‑moving projects.
Fitted with an enclosed cabin for all‑weather operation, the machine is CE‑certified to meet procurement requirements for European and other overseas markets.

It comes with a 430 mm‑wide bucket with a capacity of 0.03 m³, delivering a maximum bucket digging force of 18 KN. It boasts outstanding working performance: maximum digging radius of 3515 mm, maximum digging depth of 2200 mm, maximum digging height of 3315 mm and maximum dumping height of 2150 mm.
The boom can swing 45° to the left and 65° to the right, enabling digging alongside walls and fences without frequent repositioning of the whole machine, greatly improving work efficiency in limited‑space sites.

The travel speed reaches 1.6 km/h with a gradeability of 30 degrees and ground pressure of 35 kPa, so it seldom sinks on soft ground. Its retractable undercarriage adjusts from 960 mm (retracted) to 1260 mm (extended), balancing easy passage and operational stability.
A standard dozer blade handles land levelling and backfilling while stabilising the machine during digging.

Power is provided by the Yantai Laidong KM385 3‑cylinder water‑cooled diesel engine, which outputs a maximum power of 29 KW (39.5 HP) at a maximum speed of 2200 rpm with a displacement of 1.55 L.
The water‑cooled cooling system ensures stable performance during long‑hour continuous work. It requires 4 L engine oil and runs on No.2‑D diesel. Spare parts are widely available, resulting in low‑cost routine maintenance.

Transport dimensions: length 3320 mm, width 960 mm, height 2200 mm for convenient container shipment.
The enclosed cabin is equipped with a windscreen wiper and working lights for dust‑proof and noise‑reduced operator comfort.
